About Us
History of the Dungeness Bay Plat Homeowners Association
The Dungeness Bay Plat Homeowners Association is a Washington state non-profit corporation established to provide the means for protecting, enforcing, and amending the Covenants of the Dungeness Bay Plat community as written and recorded with Clallam County on April 15, 1964.
Dungeness Bay Plat is a community of 151 lots dedicated solely for single-family home construction. First established in 1962 by the Peterson and Pedersen families, our plat boasts a 2+ acre wooded community park and a community beach on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The maintenance, preservation, and protection of the park and beach properties are some of the primary purposes of the HOA.
Our Homeowners' Association is run by an annually elected, resident Board of Directors who is available to help keep our community members protected, informed, and included. CC&R's & HOA Bylaws protect our unique neighborhood and annual dues are very affordable. Invoices for dues are sent out each Spring.
Each block in the plat has an "area rep" assigned. These neighbors take responsibility for keeping in touch with neighbors on their respective streets. Watch for and welcome them when they call or come to see you. They are our primary way of including you in the goings-on of the HOA.
All users of the Cascadia (formerly PEDERSEN) Water System are eligible members of this Association. This includes both home owners and lot owners within this district. Owners of multiple lots within the district are limited to one vote. Voting on Covenant matters will be restricted to those within the Covenant area. All property owners in the plat are bound by the protective Covenants of the Dungeness Bay Plat.
Welcome to our neighborhood! Watch for announcements and please attend our annual meetings. Your input is welcome and your vote is essential!
